Achievements of Our Students

Significant Achievement by Ege University Graduate Elif Kaymaz

Ege University GSTMF Department of Visual Communication Design graduate Elif Kaymaz transformed her graduation project—combining traditional Turkish motifs with a sustainable fashion approach—into the export-oriented brand Firue, which is actively operating today.

One of the important milestones of this journey was a visit to the institution where the project was born. Elif Kaymaz visited Ege University GSTMF Dean Prof. Dr. Alev Fatoş Parsa, Head of the Department of Visual Communication Design Prof. Dr. Cem Güzeloğlu, and the department’s faculty members, sharing the point her project—initially developed as a graduation project—has reached today. Growing with academic support, Firue presents a strong example of how university-based projects can evolve into brands that expand into international markets when guided by the right vision.
