The program to be applied in the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts aims to educate experts who will document the old examples of our national arts, carry out their repairing process, and will take effective duties in protecting and transferring these national and universal cultural assets to future generations.

Department of Tezhip Art has been established within the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts. The program targets to carry the tradition, the art of Tezhip that has been going on for hundreds of years, to future generations. It is aimed to educate designers that will be acquainted with traditional data in the accurate way and adapt it to our era by the use of modern technology. Therefore the curriculum of the department focuses on providing the theoretical and practical education that is necessary for the transportation of tradition to future generations and for the re-processing of the original cultural accumulation with modern interpretations.
