Digital Literacy Training for Young People

A protocol was signed between Ege University Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture and Bornova District Directorate of National Education to provide “Digital Literacy Education for Youth” to secondary and high school students studying in the schools in the district.

In project scope; Five secondary schools (Yavuz Sultan Selim, Suphi Koyuncuoğlu, Reşat Nuri Güntekin, Yahya Kemal Beyatlı, Private Zübeyde Hanım Secondary Schools) and five high schools (İzmir Science High School, Bornova Anatolian High School, Cem Bakioğlu Anatolian High School, Bornoca Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School) determined by our faculty members with Bornova District National Education Directorate, 1000 students were given “Digital Literacy” training.

Through the project, educational activities were organized for secondary and high school students to become individuals who can better understand today's digital world, create and develop content in digital culture, not consume them, but produce them.
